Berry Bros & Rudd

1992 White Burgundy

Rating: 8, Maturity: W

A very good year for White Burgundy, producing a large crop of plump, well-rounded and complex wines. Temperatures were high throughout August and 10 days of great heat at the beginning of September benefited the grapes. There was heavy rain in late September but the majority of the grapes had already been harvested.

The wines are rich and ample and display very good depth of fruit. The only drawback is the low acidities which mean that many of the wines are not suited to long term ageing. Drink now.
